101 in 1001 ~ update the twenty-fifth

It’s time for the 25th update on my 101 in 1001 Challenge! If you haven’t been following along on this journey so far or have any questions about what the challenge is, you can check out this link for details.

Some of the tasks that I was planning on finishing this month sadly had to be put on hold due to finances (or time, or stress-levels). Suzy-Cat has been back and forth to the vet many times while we tried to diagnose her intestinal issues. And while I don’t regret having spent the money, kitty x-rays and shots and medicine (which I can sometimes even get her to take) isn’t cheap.

Here’s this month’s challenge progress:

July 2018
0 items completed this month
2 items cancelled this month
15 items currently in progress

56% complete

Fitness #24: 30 minutes of yoga, 3 times a week, for a month (2 times) ~ NOT DOING

I liked the idea of this one, but then I discovered that I like yoga a lot more in a yoga studio than in my living room. And so I have started going for this challenge many times, and each month I realize that I’m not enjoying myself, and so I stop. Rather than beat myself up over not getting this one done, I’m just going to acknowledge that I don’t want to do it any more.

Personal #64: Transfer home videos from MiniDV tape to DVD ~ NOT DOING

I can’t do this now without spending lots of money; the camera I had been using broke. I’ll be discussing other options with my family, because while we don’t want to lose the videos we also aren’t sure which option we want to go with. (Yes, we’re looking into the various tape transfer services. It’s just changed from being something I can do and is now something we have to do as a family.)

As with last month, I have done several things that mark off tick boxes with the pending items, but I didn’t actually complete many of the tasks. Still, I got a lot more reading done this month (not shown on this update) and I’m on track for the “do this for the whole challenge” tasks, so I’m pleased with those results at least.

    1. Yeah, it really was. Oh well, maybe we’ll find an easy way to update it. If not… I guess we haven’t missed the old home videos that much anyway.
