Unexpected April Poetry

Since I somehow missed writing a WIP Wednesday post yesterday, here’s an unplanned Thursday Poem.

I’m Nobody! Who are you?

Emily Dickinson, 1830 – 1886

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!

Have a great day!

    1. The other one I remember is “Because I could not stop for death”. I don’t have the whole thing memorized, but I know the beginning, anyway. 🙂
