Top Ten Tuesday ~ New for 2017

It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday!

toptentuesdayTop Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2017

I think for this one, instead of writing a list of the new-to-me authors I read in 2017 whose books I liked best, I’m going to make the list for those new-to-me in 2017 authors who I’m most likely to read more of. In some cases they will have also written my favorite 2017 books, but not in all cases.

The ordering for this particular list is based on my memory, and not ranked in order. And the books I’ve listed are the ones by that author that I am interested in reading.

  1. Connie Willis ~ Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing of the Dog
  2. Drew Hayes ~ the next book in the Sword, Spells and Stealth series, and I’d like to try the Fred, the Vampire Accountant series, too
  3. Ali Brandon ~ Words with Fiends
  4. Lazette Gifford ~ I like her sci-fi books
  5. Amanda Flower ~ Prose and Cons
  6. Tim Price ~ see note below
  7. Cory Skeery ~ see note below
  8. Cat Rambo ~ see note below
  9. Diana Rowland ~ see note below
  10. Kat Howard ~ see note below

Those last 5 authors all had stories in Glitter and Mayhem, an anthology I read in 2017. Have you read any books by them? Any recommendations of where to start with their other work?

    • 😀 I thought you’d appreciate that one.

I’m hoping TSNOTD gets a little less confusing as Ned recovers from his time lag. So far I’m a bit lost, though still enjoying the book.

      • My review from GRs: “Delightfully excellent romp through 1888 and 1940 with the time-traveling historians of Oxford. If you’re reading it for the first time, don’t be concerned when you have absolutely no idea what’s going on for the first quarter of the book. You’re in the narrator’s headspace and he has no idea, either.”

      • LOL! Awesome. I kept flipping back trying to see if I’d missed something since I’d been reading it near bedtime. 😀
