Here’s a very quick update on the Damson I’m making as a gift (which I only hope will be done in time…)
Do you see the difference between this one and the pattern? No? Well, since I don’t have the energy to take a picture of my prior Damson, I’ll just tell you.
The whole of the lace section is supposed to be stockinette stitch, but I’m doing it half in garter stitch. See? The bit between the yarn-overs, the new triangles, is stockinette. The “old” triangles, with the decreases, is still in garter stitch.
As I was making the Damson I kept for myself I thought this might be a nice modification, but I didn’t want to rip back to change it. So I did it this time, and so far I’m pleased with it.
(Oh yeah – those are new stitch markers, too. From Hide and Sheep. LOVE them.)
