So, as I’ve said before, I read a lot.
And yes, there are those who read more than I do (*cough*Chris*cough*) but still. I’ve read 61 books this year, and it’s only the beginning of October. Even if you assume I read no books in November (due to NaNoWriMo) and that I read very few in December (due to knitting last minute Christmas gifts) there’s still easily many more books I could read this year. (From my quick English-major-math-skills estimation, I’ve read about 6 books a month so far.)
So, just for kicks, let’s have a contest!
Comment on this post guessing how many books I will end up reading this year, and at the end of the year the closest guess will win a prize! If you guess the correct number, I will mail you your choice of one of the books I’ve read this year – with the only restriction being that it must be available in paperback. (Sorry, but I’m not shipping audiobooks or hardbacks. And I’m not going on a hunt for out-of-print and hard-to-find books either.)
A few rules:
- One entry per person.
- Contest entries allowed until midnight PST on Monday, October 12th.
- Guess whatever number you like. (Though anything smaller than 61 is rather silly.)
- If multiple people guess the same number and that number is correct, I will randomly pick a winner of those who guessed correctly.
And just because I can: I will also draw a random winner for something (don’t know what yet) from all who enter.
Good luck and happy reading!
