EDIT: I had this all set to post Friday, but something went wonky. So it’s a day late, but here it is anyway! I had wondered why there were no comments on a contest post yet…
Well. I promised you a contest today! So, here it is:
Remember when there was a SHOMI book contest at Book Binge? And I won?
The books arrived this week:
And I’m really looking forward to reading them. Yay! New books! I’m very excited. (They are, in case you don’t have X-ray vision and can’t see through the books on top to read the titles of the books on bottom, TIME TRANSIT by Kay Austin, NETHERWOOD by Michele Lang, COUNTDOWN by Michelle Maddox, WIRED by Liz Maverick, TWIST by Colby Hodge, HIDDEN by Eve Kenin, and MOONGAZER by Marianne Mancusi.) (Oh, and no, they didn’t send the bag. I just wanted the color for a backdrop.)
So that’s really cool. But I already own two of them. So, what’s a girl to do?
You got it – hold a contest to “get rid of” the two duplicated books!
Wired and Moongazer are yours for the winning! (The links are to my reviews.)
What do you have to do to enter the contest? Leave a comment here, saying these things:
- that you would like to enter
- if you have a preference for either book
- what (if anything) you plan to do for Halloween
If you choose not to comment on Halloween but ask to enter the contest, I will still enter you. But I will pout. (You will not be able to see it. But you will know I’m pouting anyway.)
I will run this contest for … let’s say 2 weeks. So, next Friday (Oct 3) I will pick one winner. And the week after that (Oct 10) I will pick a second one. Which book which week? Well, that depends on the preference of the first winner!
Good luck and happy commenting, all!
(Contest open to everyone, everywhere on Earth. I won’t ship to the moon, though, sorry.)
(The winners of the two books will be different people. So if you win the first week, you will not be entered the second week.)

I would like to be entered for either book, because I am completely unfamiliar with both of them, so I have no preference.
We have been tossing around some ideas for Halloween, but none of them have stuck so far. Our ideas have been: Star Wars (me as Leia, Rob as Hans Solo and Kitten as Yoda, alternately, me as Amidala, Rob as Anikan/Darth Vader, Kitten as baby Leia), Bo Peep & Sheep (me as Bo Peep, Kitten as a lamb, Rob as a wolf – because that’s what he wanted), and most recently: ROBOTS. Because it would be easy (ie. gray clothing and antenas).
Of course I’m in!
Based on your review, Moongazer would be my first choice. For Halloween, I usually hang out with friends and their kids, wearing my trusty black kitty ears headband.
Hey, already have both of those, so I’m not entering the contest, just felt like posting. You’ll have to let me know how the other ones are ^^
I’m not sure what I’m doing for Halloween. I should have a better idea in a few days though.
I would love to be entered for either too, but I have no idea what I am doing for Halloween and at the moment I am too tired (jet lagged) to even give it some thought!

hi there, yes i would love a new book! they both look great but moongazer catches my attention first! We tend to very much enjoy halloween in our household. Sadly, lol, hubby and i still get dressed up each year. (the dog too) This year we will be leavin gthe teenager home with her best friend to pass out candy (as they have decided they are too old to go out) and hubby and i will be taking the haunted pub crawl through historic seattle.
I would like to enter the contest. Maybe Moongazer but Wired also sounds interesting. I don’t know anything about any of the books! They don’t really celebrate Halloween here yet (they’ve started selling decorations in the stores), so other than wishing my son a Happy Halloween, I won’t be doing anything.
1.) I would like to enter your contest!
2.) Moongazer
3.) I am escaping for Halloween!!! I am going to have my dyeing at a fiber fair in Vermont on November 1st, so Friday I am leaving to spend the night with my sister and get all our stuff ready for Saturday. This is ok with me because I do not adore trick or treating. I always get sad because so few people come in our house because there is a bigger subdivision up the street. So, I guess that means that I’ll be driving on Halloween????
1. I would like to enter your contest
2. Either book because I haven’t read either one.
3. Trying to avoid a certain co-worker so I don’t have to go to his Halloween party or think of a reason not to go. Hopefully going to see my nephew on the first Halloween he’ll enjoy.
Thank you!
Gwen
I would love to be entered in the competition.
If I had to pick one of the two, I’d choose Moongazer. And I’m not really doing anything for Halloween, I guess it’s not as big a holiday over here.
[...] “Wired” or “Moongazer” (2 romantic fantasy books from the SHOMI line) visit my post from Friday, Sept 26. Two drawings will be held: one on Friday, October 3, and the second on Friday, October [...]
I’ll go for either, cause I need new books to get hooked on.
For halloween I plan on taking my niece around for candy, and missing my son. I’ll be wearing my devil horns and something. I’m not sure what something is yet, but theremay be corsets, flowing skirts, and other things involved. Or I could just go in jeans, and shirt, and my Trench coat and be Murphy from the Dresden Files books
I’m so jealous hehe, I hope you enjoy the books Nicole!
I’d love to be entered.
I’ve read Moongazer, so I’d like to win Wired.
I don’t do anything on Halloween. It’s my brother’s birthday, so I might do something for him. Maybe go so the new Max Payne movie, since it looks really good.
Thanks!
