FO: Hot Cocoa
June 16, 2008The Hot Cocoa socks, they are done!
I finished them in time to give them to my dad for Father’s Day, though they were technically a birthday gift. Ah well. I gave him the first sock for his birthday and the match for Father’s Day? Something like that.
Anyway, they are the Earl Grey sock pattern from the Yarn Harlot, in KnitPicks Essential sock yarn in Cocoa. Hence the name. I had some of the yarn left-over at the length I made it, but I’m really not sure what to do with skein-ends of brown sock yarn. I’ll hang onto it for now and figure something out. Maybe I’ll make little mini-sweaters for Christmas gifts this year.
It’s very nice to have another FO this year. Getting things done has such a good feeling. And I had wanted to get these finished before the Summer of Socks begins… I’d like to start that with a new sock. I’m not sure what yet, though, I’ll keep you posted.

Yay you! FO’s definitely rock.
Yay!! Heh, I only ever finished one sock for my dad…
Yay! They look great and I’m sure your dad is feeling comfy
