These all sounds like interesting jobs. Very few of them are actually jobs I’ve considered having, though.
Thursday Thirteen: 13 Jobs I’ve Been Interested In
1. Writer. (I then decided that it wasn’t practical, and reluctantly changed my mind.)
2. Homemaker. (In my household, anyway, it was traditional.)
3. Nurse. (Maybe. Because Grandma was one. But I couldn’t handle the blood.)
4. Paralegal / Legal Secretary. (Worked in a law office once. Thought that might be an avenue to pursue.)
5. Photographer. (Get to take pictures for a living. This sounds fun, were it not for the fact that I’m not all that great at taking pictures of people, and that’s where the photo jobs seem to be.)
6. Video editor. (Would be fun if I got to do projects I like. Probably stiff competition, though. Not to mention stress levels.)
7. Video game beta tester. (But again, only for projects I like. And there’s no way there would be enough of those to actually make it a career.)
8. Massage therapist. (In a fantasy world, I suspect I would be a healer. This is one of the closest things in this world I can envision to what I would be doing in that fantasy world, and it would be a way to help. However, I suspect it would also play havok with my hands, and then I could kiss knitting and typing goodbye.)
9. Bakery worker. (Purely for the food. Hence why I am not working in a bakery. I like fitting my clothes.)
10. Book store clerk. (For the books, of course. But I don’t work there because I actually want to bring home a paycheck. Books are wonderful, but you don’t want to have to eat them because you don’t have money left over for food.)
11. Ballet dancer. (This was when I was little. It didn’t last long.)
12. Painter. (Except I can’t paint.)
13. Writer. (For real this time. Because it’s the thing I want most to do as a career, and I have for a long time.)
