So, despite the number of craft or writing WIPs I have at the moment, the one that’s taking up the most of my time is the Day Job. This annoys me greatly, as the Day Job has no yarn to pet, and no worlds to create. It’s the normal, day-in day-out stuff that goes with running an office. Le sigh. So I must get my creative interest elsewhere.
But where do we find the time and energy to do all these other things once we get home from the Day Job? My commute takes 45 minutes each direction, on average, and since I’m usually either driving or carpooling, it’s hard to get anything else done. I suppose I could knit on the way to work (since I’m usually the passenger going that direction) but I’m also often too tired to knit in the mornings these days. (Yes, part of this is my own fault for staying up late chatting with my guy online. But this is not all of it.) Also, while I have discovered I can knit on a bus if I’m sitting somewhere around the middle, in a car I am too near too many bright windows, and cannot easily distract myself from motion sickness.
And so I have not been working on my projects as much as I would like. I could show you another picture of the HC socks, but it would be another bad cell phone pic with no progress since yesterday. And last time I tried to get a photo of the Lotus Blossom tank, the photo shoot got hijacked for other purposes. I will try to get work done on one or the other project so that I can show you an update on Friday or Monday. No promises, however. Luckily I have lots of nature shots so you don’t have to be without pictures for too long.
