Movie Monday
October 22, 2007Oh my! This post is much later than usual… Must be a Monday.
Though I will admit to delaying my post so long because I was hoping to get an inspiration for a poem to write in the hopes of enticing PBW to come back to her blog, as Joely and Ann and Jess all have. I must think on this overnight, and maybe I’ll come up with something then.
So, I have a few things to post about, but first among them are movie news items that I figure I should have somehow known about before now. Here are the new movies that I’m looking forward to that I don’t remember having heard about before (and a couple that I have).
- Get Smart – I watched a few of the old TV episodes, and loved the show. Never got to watch it regularly, though.
- Star Trek XI – another one? And with the original characters? Whee! Should be fun. Plus it’s got Karl Urban (aka Eomer) in it, and Eric Bana as the bad guy.
- Indy 4 – I doubt it could compare to the original trilogy, but who cares? It’s INDIANA JONES,for goodness sake. (Warning – link has music) (Knew about this one.)
- The Seeker – based on The Dark is Rising. I loved the books, and the trailer looked awesome. (I knew this one was coming too, but I didn’t when I first saw the trailer in the theatre. I turned to M and said something silly like, “this is The Dark is Rising! They’re making a movie of The Dark is Rising! No, it can’t be. It is! It has to be! Oh, I can’t wait, I want to see this one!” I got all fangirly over a movie I knew nothing about, based on a book I haven’t read in years. I felt very silly. But I still get all giddy thinking about it.)
- Prince Caspian (Narnia 2) and Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Narnia 3) – Again, knew the movie was coming, love the books, can’t wait for the movie.
Anyway. That’s a start on them, anyway. I know there are more (like the rest of the Potter movies, eventually) but that’s my list for the moment.
As to the other things, and for pictures, I’ll be brief because it’s almost time to leave work.
Here is Suzy in meatloaf post (ala Diane Duane) on the sofa:
And here is Peekaboo playing in the crib my niece still (on occasion) uses (he got in there himself):
I have been working on the Swan Lake stole, and the Lotus Blossom tank. However, the stole will probably be kicked into high gear now, because I found a dress to wear it with. So, I have an event to go to just after (American) Thanksgiving, and if I can get the dress dry-cleaned (easy) and the stole finished (not so easy) before then, that’s what I’m going to wear. Pictures should show up tomorrow.
(ETA: Sorry, that’s pictures of the knitting, not the dress. The dress will show up on the blog after I get to wear it with the completed stole.)
Cheers!

Aw, Suzy’s making a “turn off the light; I’m trying to sleep” face
Ooh, check the blog I posted today – I found you a nifty knitting pattern
Have a lovely day!
Can’t wait to see you model Swan Lake Stole!
Love the kitties
Nicole- I will make the Swan Lake stole one day. It’s in the ever-growing queue of things to knit before I die.
Suzy Meatloaf- that’s cute.
Suzy Meatloaf, hee hee. I love the little kitty loaf sleeping position!
I live vicariously through those who knit lace…
